Phung Hai
Phung Hung's younger brother, titled Do Bao. By the Complete Annals, he joined his brother in bringing the neighbouring villages under control when Giao Chau fell into disorder around the Dali era (766-779).

The old chronicles say
The Complete Annals name him while turning back to tell who his brother was: sometime in the Dali era, when Giao Chau fell into disorder, Phung Hung and his younger brother Phung Hai together brought the neighbouring villages under their control — Hung was styled Do Quan, and Hai, Do Bao. The two brothers fought Cao Chinh Binh for a long time without winning; only then did they take up the plan of a man from their own village, Do Anh Han, and bring their troops to besiege the seat. Le Tung's general essay of 1514, printed at the front of the Complete Annals, likewise says that Phung Bo Cai and his brother seized the moment and rose.12
